With the new age of journalism moving to an online format, video sections play an important role in newsrooms — including ours. Look at Buzzfeed, Vox and the New York Times — they are all finding ways to transform essays of writing into an easily digestible video. At The Michigan Daily, we are striving for just that. We work with all sections to find a way to enhance their content as well as producing our very own. Here with the Video section, you can easily gain some experience filming and editing skills. Plus, there is no previous experience required for videographers. From pre-production to post production of a video, The Daily’s Video team has a place for you!

Videographer
Are you a fan of BuzzFeed, Vox, or watch way too much YouTube? The Michigan Daily's Video Team is looking for creative minds eager to dive into the world of video making! As a videographer, you'll produce and edit engaging short videos for our YouTube channel, website, and social media platforms.
With us, you'll enjoy a generous amount of creative freedom to explore topics you're passionate about. While we expect members to produce at least one video per month, you're always welcome to create more. Although experience is a plus, it's not a requirement—we encourage all aspiring videographers to apply!
Your role includes, but isn't limited to:
Participating in two Tuesday night meetings per month
Collaborating with a team to produce, shoot, and edit at least one video each month
Join us and let your creativity shine through video storytelling!
