Audio Engineers

 Are you captivated by BuzzFeed, Vox, or the intricate soundscapes of YouTube? The Michigan Daily's Video Team is seeking talented individuals to elevate our audio quality! As an Audio Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of editing audio for videos featured on our YouTube channel, website, and social media platforms.

We expect members to work on at least one video per month, with opportunities to contribute even more if desired. Proficiency with audio editing software is essential for this role to ensure exceptional sound production.

As an Audio Engineer, your responsibilities include:
* Attending two Tuesday night meetings per month
* Collaborating with a team to edit audio for videos tailored to YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram

 With the new age of journalism moving to an online format, video sections play an important role in newsrooms — including ours. Look at Buzzfeed, Vox and the New York Times — they are all finding ways to transform essays of writing into an easily digestible video. At The Michigan Daily, we are striving for just that. We work with all sections to find a way to enhance their content as well as producing our very own. Here with the Video section, you can easily gain some experience filming and editing skills. Plus, there is no previous experience required for videographers. From pre-production to post production of a video, The Daily’s Video team has a place for you!
